Kayla Harrison, a survivor of sexual abuse as a teenager, today became the first U.S. judo player ever to win an Olympic gold medal.

“Never give up on your dreams,” Kayla said. “If I can do it, anybody can do it. (With all the) things that happened, now my life is a dream.”
